However, despite my enthusiasm, I have never yet tried to just live off Suffolk food, but this changed in 2010 when I was challenged to go for one week, eating only produce that has either been grown or processed in our wonderful county. Hardly a newcomer to challenges, I jumped at the chance. As soon as someone said FOOD. I was on it!
The week kicked off on 15th March and as expected it brought some surprises. And for those who are familiar with my other challenge, yes I agree, this was a lovely diversion from just talking rubbish, and I promise I made sure I never took my eye off those bins.

Dear Karen
16 May 2010 at 11:48Please come to the Ipswich Food and Drink Festival this coming weekend. Hop on a Park and Ride bus if you like and just ask for the Festival. we have lots of local food, as well as international food, a chefs demonstration kitchen and even oysters on offer for one of your correspondents. If you are in Ipswich on Wednesday by the Town hall you can try an oyster for free or sample a local sausage. Look on our web site snakeinthegrass.co.uk for our other Suffolk and Essex food shows.
Best wishes and good eating.
Don
